When I first started this blog I had big ambitions about sending a quarterly newsletter, full of interesting and exciting news — like maybe I’d signed with an agent or sold a book to a big name publisher or was being forced out into the real world to do a book signing. In the interim, I’d provide newsletters with highly entertaining bits of short fiction for your reading pleasure. And maybe a few amusing pictures of the cat.
Really, what could go wrong?
Well, things change. In the ensuing years I have never, not even once, sent out a newsletter. But I still have ambitions! And plans! You do realize you should take that with a wee grain of salt, right?
My current, more realistic, plan is to send an email when I have new fiction available. Subscribers will be among the first to know about new releases and will also receive notice of limited-time introductory low prices. Because I think you deserve a reward for trusting me with your email address.
Of course, if I ever do sign with an agent or sell a book to a publisher or am forced out into the real world, I’ll let you know about that as well. Really.
My intention is that this will be the kind of email you’re happy to see. What I will NEVER do is give your email address to anyone else. Not that anyone else would want it, but still.
